picture a day: bijapur, india

After breakfast we walked to gol-gumbaz, one of the Islamic tombs in town

admired it from all angles

along with some wildlife

and a bee colony.

Then we walked into town, stopping to marvel at the made-to-order cricket bat market

meeting people on the way

through the throngs

before having a really yummy lunch.

After lunch we spotted other eaters

and were spotted ourselves

we puzzled over the segregated political rally

and had to give this star his own photo

before we finished the walk back to the hotel and vegged out in front of the tv.

I love this post! Is that chai tea you're drinking with lunch? What is chai tea like in India versus Pittsburgh?

Actually, we're drinking Bru coffee (Bru is just a brand), and it's yummy! But as for the chai, it's much better in India. But then if you're thinking about the chai at Abay, it's just different. But Indian chai is way better in India, than in Pittsburgh. Big surprise.
